FAQ | 305 Therapy FL

Free Consultation

I am happy to provide a free consultation so I may answer your questions and you can decide if my services are right for you.

Consultations are available via telehealth, and are available to schedule on the  Consultations page.

If you are not ready to schedule a consultation and have some questions, feel free to contact me.

Teletherapy - Online Counseling in Florida

Teletherapy is online video counseling in the comfort of your home, or anywhere in the state of Florida. Teletherapy is a great option to gain face-to-face access to a clinician who is right for you.  Maybe you find it difficult to travel for counseling or your schedule does not allow time for in-person counseling; telehealth may be right for you.

My services are safe, secure, and HIPAA compliant. Teletherapy can be accessed via your web browser or the phone app. Download the app at the bottom of the page.

How do I get started?

Start by reviewing the Rates and Insurance page to confirm insurance or rates. If there's a potential fit, you can schedule a free consultation on the Consultation Appointments page or contact me directly with any questions.

What is a consultation like?

The consultation is a casual conversation when I gather brief information about your history, what's brought you to therapy, and what you're hoping to work on. It's also a chance for you to ask any questions. I'll also share a little about myself and how I work.  We won't begin any processing work in the first session.

What do the first few sessions look like?

After our consultation, I will send you your intake forms.  You will review these and ask any questions before signing.  In these forms will be a questionnaire that support how we begin our work.  It's a collection of questions about you and your life experiences.
The first session is an intake, a structured conversation where we review the questions you completed and I gather additional information about your history. This conversation forms the foundation of how we are going to work together and what we are going to accomplish, and how we are going to get there.

Do you prescribe medication?

No. As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), I provide talk therapy. If medication is something you'd like to explore, I'm happy to discuss referral options.
